Hear What The Parents Are Saying About Windmill...

Dear Lisa Silverstein,

My husband and I wanted to express to you our profound gratefulness for the education and kindness that you and your staff have bestowed upon our daughter. As we look back at the last four years of Megan's Windmill education, every teacher, without exception, instilled in her the belief that she was capable of anything. As she went through the little steps of growing up: potty training, zipping up her coat, writing her name, and now, reading, she achieved those accomplishments because of the outstanding people at Windmill.

Yet, more importantly than the learning steps, she also learned from her teachers a sense of kindness and responsibility. She is now friendly to her peers and respectful to her teachers. As a teacher, I appreciate the way Windmill prepared my daughter to be a life long learner.

Even though she has now graduated from Windmill and will go on to a new elementary school, her first school will always be her first home. Through the laughter, joking, and warm manner everyone expresses at Windmill, Steve and I also felt very welcome and it quickly became our home too.

I hope some day that our second little one will get to know the Windmill family! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you from our first little one, Megan. We will miss all of you!

Sincerely, Kelly and Steve
(parents of a 2006 Windmill graduate)

Lisa,

Kyle wrote this poem for a competition to be published in a book and he got chosen! He forgot to include a line about having to move but... I thought you'd like it! Hope all is well with everyone!    -- Stephanie

Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania is cool,
it's the state where I was born.

In the summer it was Windmill Day Camp,
athletics, crafts and more.

I went there since one year old,
until I was ten.

In the school year,
it was Cold Spring Elementary School.

Football at recess,
and basketball too.

Now I want to go back,
to my favorite place in the world,
PENNSYLVANIA!!!

Lisa & Noah,

I have been contemplating for weeks on how I could put into words how much Windmill has meant to our family and how much we will miss all of you.

The first time we drove onto the property and talked to Noah we knew we had to find a way to make Windmill a part of our lives.

There just isn't enough we can say to let you know how much our experience with Windmill has enriched our lives. We will, of course, be back for Summer Camps but it is the last 3 years that will remain in our hearts forever.

We know Amanda and Rachel have been given the best start in life they could possibly have and for that we will be forever grateful.

Love, Mendy & Ed (parents of 7 year old twin girls)
